Donegal won their first ever Irish Indoor Bowling Association Inter-Zone Men’s Boomer Cup in 2020 after a 57-29 victory over Armagh in the Final. They had earlier beaten East Antrim 63-50, Monaghan 58-41 and Mid Ulster 68-52 to reach the Final.

Scotland won for the second year in a row after winning 31 on their matches to Ireland A’s 26 and Wales’ 25. Ireland B finished bottom on 14 wins. The Challenge was closeon Day 1, with Ireland A and scotland on 14 wins apiece and Wales just behind on 13, with Ireland B on 7.

Each team fielded 4 triples, who played a total of 12 matches each. Scotland 1 (Paul Bretenoux, Robbie Stronach, John Wilson) won all twelve of their matches, making them the top triples, although their closest match was against Ireland B3 (Owen Kelleher, Adam Kelleher, ‘Misty’), Scotland 1 winning 13-11.

Ireland’s top triples were A4 (Richard Elvin, Sebastien Stewart, Arshaad Dooreemeah).
