Alpha Steelers won the Ulster Badminton League Division 1 Title with points to spare as they finished with 8 fixtures won, two drawn and none lost for a total of 51 Match Points, 7 ahead of second placed ACBC Greenwell Street. Other Division winners were : Ballyclare Hurricanes (D2), Ballyclare Typhoons (D3), Queens University Belfast A (D4), Clogher C (D5), Queens University Belfast B (D6), Banbridge A (D7) and Alpha Wizards (D8).

Report

England won the Guinness Women’s 6 Nations in 2020, with five wins from five matches. Although interrupted by the COVID-19 Pandemic, England managed to complete all their fixtures, the only country to do so. Ireland finished in joint second with 13 points, level with France, although their deciding match for second place was cancelled. Ireland won 3 of their four matches played, losing 27-0 to England in Round 3, but gaining wins over Scotland (18-14), Wales (31-12) and Italy (21-7).

Report

Ailesbury 1st and 2nd teams both took their respective Dublin & District League Finals in 1996 with the 1st team winning the Premier and the 2nd team the Senior II Final. The Senior I league title went to KADCA. In other leagues St. Laurence O’Toole won Section D, and D and E Ladies Finals, while Skerries took the E and G titles.

Turlough Towers of Co. Mayo and FBD Roads of Co. Roscommon reached both the Under 15 Connaught Community Games Badminton Finals held in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway on 27th April 2019. Turlough Towers won the Girls Final and FBD Roads the Boys with the two teams progressing to represent Connaught in the ALDI National Finals in the University of Limerick from the 24th to 26th of May 2019.
