Report

Ireland returned from the Veterans Home Nations with 2 Team Silver & 3 Team Bronze in the 7 Team Championships. Ireland’s Open 70+ did particularly well, coming within a whisker of defeating England, the eventual Champions, as they finished in second place with a record of 5 wins & 1 Loss. Ireland’s Men’s 40-+ also picked up silver, winning 3 of their 5 games, while there was bronze for the Men’s 50+, Mixed 60+ and Open 75+.

As well as England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales, there were also entries from Jersey, Guernsey & the Isle of Man [1]

Report

Ireland finished 5th in Division 2 of the Men’s European Team Championships. Two Men made their debuts for Ireland at these Squash Championships – Oisin Logan & Sam Buckley. [8]

Ireland qualifed for the quarter-finals having drawn with Finland and beaten Croatia in the Pool stages. There they came up against Belgium, and went down 3-1, before recovering to beat Netherlands on games countback and Slovakia to finish 5th of 12.
