Report
Holy Faith Clontarf, coached by American Legend, Jerome Westbrooks, won their second U19 A Girls All-Ireland Cup Final in three years.
The display put on by the Dubliners was clinical and polished and put the result beyond doubt midway through the third quarter, with excellent performances from MVP Bronagh Power Cassidy (an Irish International), Maeve O’Seaghdha, Niamh Kenny and Elizabeth Black.
Holy Faith had an advatage in size and athleticism which saw them get the better of exchanges early on and they built up an early lead, ending the half 37-19 up.
Holy Faith continued to dominate and St. Vincent’s had a tough third quarter with the Holy Faith bench showing plenty of skill and talent. In the end, the Clontarf girls were deserved 73-40 winners.
Coach Westbrooks referred to the four star players of Bronagh, Niamh, Maeve and Elizabeth as the four horsemen, and their experience and talent was tough for all teams who faced them.
