The Irish Schools Basketball Association (Boys) and Schoolgirls Basketball association of Ireland were brought together under one organisation: Basketball Ireland Post-Primary Schools in 2003. At the same time the Senior (Under 18) and Junior / Cadette (Under 15) grades were renamed Under 19 and Under 16 grades.
Holy Faith Clontarf of Dublin have won the Under 19 A Girls All-Ireland League title on five occasions, with Colaiste Iosagain, Stillorgan (Dublin) winning twice.
Holy Faith Clontarf (2016): Saoirse Power-Cassidy, Tiffany Erin Brockman, Aisling Carberry, Maeve McDermott, Ali Connolly. Substitutes: Deborah Sealy, Ruth Fennell, Mae Creane, Bronagh Power-Cassidy, Niamh Kenny, Elizabeth Black, Ciara Curran, Maeve O’Seaghdha.
