Report
_______________________________________________________________________
Dublin Celtics qualified for the European Cup with a 39-33 victory in the National Basketball Championships in Cathal Brugha Gymnasium in Dublin. The quality of play was not of a high standard for a National Competition and it was only the brilliant play of the Dublin team’s veteran, Capt. Pat O’Hara that gave them victory in the Final against their Belfast namesakes. Kickhams Clonmel were the Munster representatives, St. Mary’s Athlone the Connacht representatives, St. Mary’s Dungannon the Ulster Regional representatives, and Curragh Band the Leinster Regional representatives.
